Former fugitive connected to other crimes and is facing list of break-in, theft and drug charges

A man on the run from authorities after a residential break-in early last month has been linked to and charged with several other crimes involving thefts and drugs.
On Feb. 7, four people broke into the home of Ken Beshears, of 1374 Haven Heights Drive in Marion, and stole $1,000 worth of property. Two suspects were apprehended shortly after the break-in, and two others, including 39-year-old Gilbert Keith Moore, of 50 Tanya Drive in Nebo, were on the run for six days before being captured and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and injury to real property.
Since that time, offenses against Moore have continued to pile up.
Detective J.T. Grindstaff of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Moore with larceny of a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 28, 2017, Jarrod Moore, of Bakersville, reported that someone stole his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta and its contents from a residence on Proctors Knob Road in Marion.
Grindstaff also charged Moore with breaking and entering a trailer and larceny after breaking and entering.
Chad Robinson, of Old Fort, reported on Jan. 2 that someone broke into a storage trailer on Bill Cook Drive in Nebo and removed nearly $3,500 worth of property, including tools and sound system equipment.
Detective Billie Brown of the Sheriff’s Office charged Moore; 28-year-old Marcus Leonard Pendley, of 136 Finley Ave. in Marion; and 21-year-old Cory Tyler Woodard, of 275 Cool Springs Lane in Marion, with two counts each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny of a motor vehicle and one count each of burglary and larceny after breaking and entering.
On Jan. 5, an employee of Bowie Automotive, on U.S. 70 East in Nebo, reported that a BMW and a Mercedes-Benz were stolen from the business. Both cars were recovered but damaged, and stereo speakers had been stolen from one.
The suspects were caught on camera at Bowie Automotive.
Detective Patrick Guion of the Sheriff’s Office charged Moore and Diamond Montana Noles, 18, of 128 Franklin Ave. in Marion, with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
On Feb. 12, while looking for Moore and Noles during their time on the lam for the Beshears residential break-in, deputies responded to a gas station on Burma Road East in Nebo and found a car that had been occupied by Moore and Noles. A search of the vehicle turned up .1 gram of methamphetamine.
