Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue their repair to the 8-inch water main that broke earlier today at the intersection of Kalihi St. & Manaiki Pl. Motorists are reminded to please drive with extreme caution in the vicinity. Only one lane of traffic is open at the site and special duty officers are alternately contra-flowing Kalihi St. traffic at that intersection. The lane closure will continue throughout the repair, which is expected to continue through this evening.
The BWS continues to provide a source of water to the 63 customers who lost service, as a result of the break, through 4 water wagons positioned at:
- 2456 Nalanieha St.
- corner of Kula Kolea St. and Kula Kolea Pl.
- 2304 Kula Kolea St.
- 2417 Naai St.
Also, Kalihi Elementary School, on Kula Kolea St., is closed today.
