#005 Public Intoxication Arrest
While on his way to Washington High School at 7:18 a.m., School Resource Officer Morales stopped to get a cup of coffee at Peet’s Coffee located in the 2700 block of Mowry Ave. While he was inside, his attention was directed to a male who was sitting banging his hands on a table.  The male got up and was unsteady, almost falling over.  Officer Morales could hear he had a slurred speech and based on observation could tell he was intoxicated at a level that he couldn’t care for himself.  Officer Tatola arrived and arrested the 44 year old adult male for his two outstanding warrants and for being drunk in public. He was booked into Santa Rita.
 
#021 Warrant Arrest
At approximately 1:02 p.m. Officer Sun and Officer Tatola were conducting foot patrol in the area of Iron Horse Lane when they located a male who was known to be on searchable probation and also had an active warrant. The 37 year old was detained and arrested for his warrants.
 
#026 Residential Burglary
Suspect(s) forced entry into a residence in the 4600 block of Diaz Dr. by breaking the rear slider door.  The master bedroom was ransacked and jewelry was taken.  The burglary occurred between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Investigated by CSO Schwartz.
 
#044 Petty Theft
Unknown suspect(s) broke the side gate of a residence in the 4000 block of Cherrywood Ave and stole two bikes that were in the backyard. Investigated by CSO Allen.
 
Auto Burglaries:
#034 46000 block of Warm Springs Bl.  Victim’s vehicle was broken into and his laptop bag containing a Mac Book Pro was stolen.  Investigated by CSO Tsai.
 
#042 4100 block of Cushing Pkwy.  Victim’s vehicle was broken into and his laptop was stolen.  Investigated by CSO Tsai.
 
#043 4100 block of Cushing Pkwy.  Victim’s vehicle was broken into and his ID and credit card were stolen.
 
There was a 4th auto burglary, but the victim left prior to police arrival.
 
#045 Possession of a Loaded Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
A caller reported a possible collision with unknown injuries.  The reporting party advised there was a vehicle that appeared to have crashed into a fence.  The vehicle was unattended, but there was a subject down the street who may have been associated with the vehicle.  Officer Miller and FTO Harvey contacted the male who was a distance away from the vehicle.  The male walked towards the officers and left behind his backpack.  The officers evaluated him for possibly being under the influence of a controlled substance.  They determined he was under the influence and a subsequent search of his backpack revealed a loaded firearm.  Arrested was a 30 year old adult male for carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a loaded firearm and under the influence of a controlled substance.
