Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair the broken 8-inch main at the intersection of Kalihi St. & Manaiki Pl. Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area, as repair is forcing the closure of one lan e of traffic at the site. Special duty officers are rerouting mauka-bound motorists on Kalihi St. onto Nalanieha St., where they can get onto Likelike Hwy. and access Kalihi Valley via Valley View Drive.
The BWS has set up 4 water wagons to the 63 customers without water:
-2456 Nalanieha St.
- Kula Kolea St. and Pl.
-2304 Kula Kolea St.
- 2417 Naai St.
Also, Kalihi Elementary School, on Kula Kolea St., is closed today.
Additionally, the BWS has cancelled its conservation request to Kalihi Valley residents to use water only for essential needs; residents can use water normally. The BWS thanks residents for their cooperation in this matter.
