Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair the broken 8-inch main at the intersection of Kalihi St. & Manaiki Pl. Repair is forcing the closure of one lane of traffic at the site. Currently, special duty officers are alternately contra-flowing traffic. But, as traffic increases with morning commuters, mauka-bound motorists will be rerouted onto Nalanieha St., where they can get onto Likelike Hwy. and access Kalihi Valley via Valley View Drive.
The BWS is providing 4 water wagons to the 63 customers without water:
-2456 Nalanieha St.
- Kula Kolea St. and Pl.
-2304 Kula Kolea St.
- 2417 Naai St.
Additionally, the BWS is cancelling its request to Kalihi Valley residents to use water only for essential needs; residents can use water normally. The BWS thanks residents for their cooperation in this matter.
