Suspicious vehicle call leads to drug arrest
Deputy Aaron Vallini of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joanna Kaye Julius, 32, of 149 Thunderhill Drive in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, Feb. 24, Vallini responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He arrived to find a woman, later identified at Julius, asleep in the car with the engine running.
A subsequent search of the automobile turned up 10 grams of methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia.
