Hydrant Flushing today from station 20 1/2 to station 26, from Middle St to the Marsh. This is an integral part of our water distribution system’s operation and maintenance plan. Once a year we flush the entire system. We do this during low flow months to keep good quality water throughout the entire distribution system. During this maintenance exercise we will notice any problem valves or hydrants so we can plan any necessary repairs if needed. Every five years we flow test all the Hydrants. Good fire flows helps keep your homeowners insurance rates as low as possible. You may experience some discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure. Water will clear and pressure will resume to normal once our crew has moved out of the area.
