The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station is seeking the public’s help in locating 75 year old William Ballantine Dorsey. On March 12, 2018, at 10:45 AM, deputies assigned to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the area of the 18000 Block of Langlois Road, South Desert Hot Springs regarding a missing person. Deputies arrived and spoke with William’s wife who stated he left the residence on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 10:00 AM and she did not know where he went. William Dorsey is 75 years old and suffers from a mental illness. William has done this in the past and has returned home after a few days. William is considered at risk because of his diminished capacity.
William Dorsey is described as a white male adult, 5’-11”, 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt with blue stripes, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
Palm Desert Sheriff’s Deputies have been canvassing the general area trying to locate William. His description was provided to all surrounding law enforcement agencies, including hospitals. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station at 760-836-1600.
