INCIDENT:      Attempt Murder          
 
LOCATION:   11100 block of Kadota Avenue, an unincorporated area of Montclair  
 
VICTIM:           Kenneth Brown, age 62 a resident of Colton
 
SUSPECT:      Deijah Omar Curtis, age 22 a resident of Covina
 
SUMMARY:   
On March 11, 2018, at approximately 10:48 pm, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to the report of an assault that had just occurred in the area of 11100 block of Kadota Avenue in the unincorporated area of Montclair.  Upon arrival, deputies located the victim with severe trauma to his upper body.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition and remains on life support. 
Deputies were advised that a black female was seen assaulting the victim.  Deputies located the suspect, later identified as Deijah Omar Curtis, in the area of 9^th Avenue and Kadota. 
Due to the serious injuries suffered by the victim, Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators were requested, and are currently conducting the investigation.  The motive for the assault is under investigation.  The victim and the suspect were not known to each other. 
Deijah Omar Curtis was interviewed by detectives and subsequently arrested.  She was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Attempt Murder.
