Narrative:
(S) Alex Flores, a known El Rio gang member, and (S) Vanessa Leanos were arrested for their involvement in an early morning robbery that occurred at a known residence in the community of El Rio.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Gang Unit learned on January 25, 2018, around 0400 hours, Flores and Leanos went to the victim’s home in El Rio. Flores and Leanos unlawfully entered the residence through a window and confronted the victim. Flores took the victim’s cellular phone and additional items of value prior to leaving the residence. During the incident, Flores struck the victim in the face multiple times.
A search warrant was authored and executed at Flores’ residence, which led to the recovery of the victim’s property. Also located during the search warrant were 13.34 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Flores was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for Penal Code Section 211 – first degree residential robbery, Penal Code Section 182(a) – conspiracy to commit a crime, Health and Safety Code 11379 – possession for sale of a controlled substance, and Health and Safety Code 11364(a) – possession of drug paraphernalia.
Leanos was later located and arrested for Penal Code Section 211 – first degree residential robbery and Penal Code Section 182(a) – conspiracy to commit a crime.
