Advisory

Snow/Rain after 8pm, watch for gusty winds and ice conditions in the AM. Don't travel to Boston

I really want this to be our last advisory but we are not so lucky. We are looking at precipitation moving in after 8pm. It can be rain or snow. That's the official forecast. I really think, based on the models (and it sounds good), that we are going to get less snow and more rain or snow sticking to grassy areas. Doesn't make the dogs happy at all but its safer for travel. Elsa index is a 2 but the Dorothy index is a 5 or 6 so look out for some gusty winds which could knock down the one tree left standing. The Olaf index is a 2, light and fluffy, not good for snow person making.
More importantly, use caution on the overnight and the early morning commute for icy conditions. Expect ice and drive like it and you will be better off and keep everyone safe. I am saddened that so many people are still without power and everyone north in New England are going to be hit hard by this one! Please help your neighbor and the elderly if you can.
If more than 5 inches fall, I will put the shorts and T Shirt on, get the tropical drink and sit in the lawn chair in my backyard to break the curse.

Event Summary
Snow is expected late this afternoon into Tuesday morning. Highest amounts are expected across portions of northern, central, and eastern New Jersey, as well as portions of northeast Pennsylvania. Other parts of our area are expected to see some snow, but lesser amounts.
 Minor coastal flooding is possible for the Tuesday morning high tide cycle, primarily along the New Jersey shore, Delaware Beaches, and shores of the lower Delaware Bay. The risk appears have decreased slightly since yesterday and therefore, an advisory has not yet issued.
 Gale force wind gusts of 35-40 knots are expected late today into Tuesday morning for the Atlantic coastal waters of Delaware and New Jersey, including lower Delaware Bay. Gale force gusts may linger into Tuesday afternoon. Seas will build to near 10 feet late tonight.
 There remains uncertainty with the track of the system. If the storm tracks closer to the coast, the impacts would be greater.
 Please continue to monitor the latest forecast at www.weather.gov/phi as we get closer to the event.
