Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating the stabbing death of a male, Hispanic adult that occurred on the 1000 block of Hacienda Boulevard, La Puente, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at approximately 5:59 P.M.
Detectives have learned that Industry Station deputies responded to the location regarding an “assault with a deadly weapon” call. Upon their arrival, deputies located a male, Hispanic adult who had sustained at least one stab wound to the upper body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect, both whom were employees at the location. During the course of the physical altercation, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim.
The suspect has been detained, pending an interview with homicide detectives.
No other suspects are sought at this time.
The weapon, a knife, has been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
