As we have seen in the past, Blairstown residents do an amazing job of caring for each other when there is a crisis. Such is the case in the past eight days with the extensive power outages in our area.

You, the community, in addition to quiet acts of kindness, gave by supporting the Warming Center,; feeding your neighbors, and lifting their spirits.

Now, as we begin to migrate back to some sense of normalcy, we thank NWRHS for allowing us to utilize their facility and will cease Warming Center operations. All extra non-perishable items are being distributed to local food pantries in our area that feed the hungry.

On Saturday, March 10 from 3-7 p.m. those who are still without electricity are welcome to warm up, enjoy a meal, and charge their cell phones at the Blairstown Elementary School on Stillwater Road. There are no shower facilities.
