INCIDENT LOCATION: 3525 N. Shadeland Avenue, NE30
COMMUNITY MESSAGE:
INDIANAPOLIS –On Friday, March 9, 2018, just before 6:00 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to 3525 N. Shadeland Avenue on a report of a battery. Indianapolis EMS responded and transported the male to Eskenazi Hospital. Despite the best life-saving efforts by emergency medical staff, the male succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Homicide detectives were called to the scene and immediately began investigating. At this time, this case is being investigated as a death investigation.
The Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identification and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
