Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate Keith DeGuzman turns himself in to police. Faces added escape 2 charge.

Missing work furlough inmate Keith DeGuzman turned himself in to Honolulu Police this morning. Yesterday (Wednesday), he failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center. DeGuzman left in the morning on a furlough day pass and was scheduled to return by noon. Honolulu Police turned him over to Sheriffs for processing. He will be returned to OCCC and faces the possible addition of an escape 2 charge.

52-year old DeGuzman is serving time for Promotion of a Detrimental Drug 3 and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia. His next parole hearing is scheduled for August.

He is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
