With the recent cold temperatures in the morning, we understand the urge to warm up your vehicle before you leave for work. Please do not leave your vehicle running with the keys in the vehicle and unattended. We had two vehicles stolen this morning that were left running with the keys in the vehicle. The thefts occurred within a matter of seconds. One of the stolen vehicles today was involved in a traffic crash due to reckless driving on behalf of the operator that totaled the vehicle. This crash was not a result of a pursuit by the police. This is the 9th vehicle stolen in 2018 from Whitefish Bay that was running with the keys in the ignition. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors who may not receive these alerts.
