Deputies looking for information on the whereabouts of Steven Hodel, wanted in connection with a theft

LOCATION: 21898 State Hwy 18, Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Steven A. Hodel, 41 years old, last known address in Upland
SUMMARY:
On March 7, 2018 at about 1:09 a.m., the suspect, identified as Steven Hodel entered the Apple Valley Gas Mart located at 21898 State 18 Hwy. Hodel located a charity tub full of an unknown amount of cash/money on the counter next to the cash register, took the tub of charity money and concealed it under his jacket. Hodel paid for an item and exited the store, stealing the charity money. The charity money was to go to the family whose infant child died in a recent car accident in Apple Valley and help pay for the child's funeral services.
Steven Hodel was identified by the surveillance video at the Apple Valley Gas Mart and is wanted for questioning regarding this case. Hodel is on Felony Probation (Post Release Community Supervision) and currently wanted on a felony no bail warrant.
