Attempted Murder Arrest in Moreno Valley

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, about 10:30 PM, an officer from the Moreno Valley Police Department witnessed an adult male shooting a firearm in the 22400 block of Alessandro Boulevard. The male suspect was standing in the middle of Alessandro Boulevard firing a handgun eastbound toward passing vehicles. As a vehicle containing a family of five passed by the suspect, he fired numerous rounds at the vehicle, striking it at least once. The rear window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered as a result of the gunfire and a bullet was located inside the vehicle in very close proximity to the victims. A handgun was recovered at the location.

Pierre Drew, a 33 year-old resident of Hemet, was arrested at the scene, booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center, and is being held on $1,000,000 bail for attempted murder charges and felon in possession of a firearm.
