Please be advised that the Illinois Statewide tornado drill will be held and TEST tornado warnings will be issued for all Illinois counties today at 10am. A Tornado WATCH indicates tornadoes are possible. You should BE PREPARED. A Tornado WARNING indicates that a tornado has been spotted or indicates on radar. There is imminent danger and you should TAKE ACTION. During today’s drill, outdoor severe weather sirens will activate, many TV & radio stations will also participate, NOAA weather alert radios will activate. In addition, some schools typically conduct their tornado drills at the same time. THIS IS ONLY A TEST. We recommend that you review severe weather safety plans for your home, school, or business.
