- Naranjo, Rafael, a 54 Year Old Pomona Resident

- The Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force
Narrative:
On Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, around 7:00 PM, members of the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) were conducting surveillance in the 1200 block of west 4th St. in the city of Pomona. This location was brought to the attention to the Pomona Police Department after we received a call for service of someone discharging a firearm into the air. Initial information was obtained by Patrol Officers who later forwarded the gathered intelligence to the Major Crimes Task Force. The Major Crimes Task Force gathered additional intelligence and obtained a search warrant for the Suspect’s residence. Members of the Task Force observed Suspect Naranjo leave his residence where he was stopped and detained. A search warrant was executed and an loaded unregistered firearm, along with several live ammunition rounds was recovered.
As a result of the items recovered during the search warrant, Naranjo was placed under arrest on suspicion of;
- 29800 (a)(1) PC- Felon possession of a firearm
- 30305 (a) PC- Felon possession of ammunition
- 21310 PC- Possession of Dirk or Dagger
- 25850(c)(6) PC- Possession of an unregistered firearm
Naranjo was booked at the Pomona City Jail.
