Laumaka work furlough inmate Jason Kamaka failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work last night (Friday). He was supposed to return by 7:30 p.m. Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified.

42-year old Kamaka is 6’3” and weighs 170 lbs. He has a brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo across his neck that says “Kehaulani”.

Kamaka is serving time for Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle. His next parole hearing was scheduled for May. He now faces an additional escape charge when found.

Kamaka is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
