Fish Fire Impact Area Storm News; City of Duarte Moves to a Green Alert Level on March 3rd at 7:00 am; EOC to Close Tonight
 
With the bulk of the storm behind us, City of Duarte officials are moving to the Green Alert level tomorrow morning, March 3rd at 7:00 am.  Bus services in impact area will resume tomorrow morning.  Streets and curbs throughout the impact area remain clear and open and the City’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC) will close at approximately 10:00 pm.
 
To date, the City has received .25” or a 1/4” of rain fall with another round of possible showers occurring after at 4:00 pm today. Current forecast show rain to dissipate later this evening with shattered showers through 6:00 pm tomorrow evening (3/3/2018). 
 
The City of Duarte always encourages residents in the Fish Fire Impact area to prepare BEFORE storms. Unfilled sandbags and sand are always available at the Los Angeles County Fire Station Department 44, located at 1105 Highland Avenue in the rear area 24/7. 
 
For up to date and immediate Fish Fire Impact area information, the City strongly advises all residents to sign up for FREE Duarte Nixle alerts. Detailed information about the Fish Fire is available 24/7 at www.accessduarte.com under the “Resident” tab or via the home page by clicking on the “Fish Fire” icon.  Residents are asked to contact Temple Sheriff’s Station for emergency and non-emergency requests at 626-285-7171 through the weekend. Public Safety phones will also be open tomorrow, March 3 at 626-357-7938 from 7:30 – 4:00 pm.
