“Police Blotter” Highlights – Ending Feb. 25, 2018
 
ROBBERIES AND ROBBERY ATTEMPTS
On Monday, Feb. 19th, around 3 p.m., Ofc. Roberts was dispatched to Union Landing on the report of an attempted robbery. A suspect grabbed the victim’s purse, pulling her to the ground. The victim screamed, and the suspect fled without the purse. He got into a waiting vehicle, described as a brown, late model 2-door Audi with black paper plates. The suspect was described as a black male, 16-18 years old, with short curly hair, 5’4” to 5’8” and a skinny build.
 
On Tuesday, Feb. 20th, around 3:30 p.m., Ofc. Llamas was dispatched to the 32000 block of Alvarado Blvd. on the report of a robbery. Three male suspects attacked the victim and stole his bike, which was recovered the next day and returned to the victim. The suspects were known to the victim, but prosecution was not desired.
 
GRAND THEFT
On Saturday, Feb. 24th, between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., all four tires and rims were stolen off a vehicle in the 30 block of Union Square.
 
BURGLARIES AND CAR THEFTS
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 19th through Sunday, Feb. 25th, there were five reported residential burglaries:

  • 35100 block of Garcia St.: Occurred on Thursday, Feb. 22nd, around 1:10 p.m. A window was broken, but there was no apparent entry or loss.
  • 34900 block of Perry Rd.: Occurred on Thursday, Feb. 22nd, between 9:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Entry was made via the garage door, and the loss included jewelry, cash and electronics.
  • 100 block of Donoso Plaza: Occurred on Friday, Feb. 23rd, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. A sliding glass door was smashed, and the loss is unknown at this time.
  • 4300 block of Feldspar Ct.: Occurred on Friday, Feb. 23rd, between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A window to the garage was smashed, and then the door into the house was forced open. The loss included jewelry and electronics. The suspect vehicle was described as a teal or silver 1999-2004 Honda Odyssey.
  • 2700 block of Killdeer Ct.: Occurred between Saturday, Feb. 24th at 11 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 25th at 9 a.m. The garage door was left open, and items were stolen from the garage and from an unlocked vehicle in the garage.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 19th through Sunday, Feb. 25th, there were no reported commercial burglaries.
 
AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS
From Monday, Feb. 19th through Sunday, Feb. 25th, there were 11 reported auto burglaries. Six of them occurred at the Union Landing shopping center, and three occurred in residential areas. In many cases, the burglaries involved backpacks, electronics and suitcases that were left in plain view on the seats or floorboards.

From Monday, Feb. 19th through Sunday, Feb. 25th, there were nine reported vehicle thefts. As of the time of this report, six of the vehicles have been recovered.
