Suspects: Masoud Saberi, 42, Oakland; Thomas Minjarez, 32, Richmond

Charges: 29800(a)(1) PC, 25400(a)(1) PC, 30305(a)(1) PC, 25850(a)(1) PC, 11364 HS, 11377(a) HS, 32310 PC (Saberi)

Narrative: Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Horton St. and Mandela Pkwy. for a Vehicle Code violation. The license plate on the vehicle did not match the vehicle it was on. The driver was identified as Minjarez and the passenger was identified as Saberi. Saberi was also identified as the owner of the vehicle.

A name check revealed Minjarez was on felony probation with a search clause. During the probation search Methamphetamine and a Methamphetamine pipe was located and Saberi claimed ownership.
A further search revealed a loaded firearm and a second magazine in the passenger compartment. Both Saberi and Minjarez had access to the location of the firearm.

Both Minjarez and Saberi are convicted felons. Both were arrested and transported to jail.
