GBPD and NWTC to host: A Place at the Table: Breaking Down the Stigma of Mental Health.

Did you know one in five adults will experience mental illness in their lifetime? That is according to the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI). What is mental health? And what do people know about it?
On Tuesday, February, 27, 2018, students and staff at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) will talk about mental health and the stigma that goes a long with it during A Place at the Table: Breaking Down the Stigma of Mental Health.

Members of the NWTC community are invited to have an open conversation on mental health, society and current events with members of the Green Bay Police Department and representatives from over a dozen community organizations including: NAMI and Brown County Health and Human Services and many more

A Place at The Table is a roundtable event for staff, faculty, and students to have candid, safe, and respectful discussions with professionals that work in the field of mental health.

The event will take place at NWTC, Eagle Event Center (SC142), 2740 W. Mason St, Green Bay WI 54304. The media is invited to set up at 11:00 AM and conclude by 11:45 AM.
