On Friday, February 23, 2018, Novato Police Department investigators contacted two Novato residents, parolee Heather Howard, and probationer Louis Thorsson, at a storage building on the 2000 block of Novato Blvd. Thorsson and Howard were seen carrying a large speaker box which appeared to be an item recently stolen during an auto burglary.

Investigators searched Howard and Thorsson pursuant to parole and probation terms and recovered property related to four recent Novato burglaries and thefts. Investigators are in the process of contacting victims regarding the recovered property.

Thorsson was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, and a probation violation. Howard was arrested for possession of stolen property and was placed on a parole hold. Both Thorsson and Howard were booked into Marin County Jail.
