Duarte State of the City Presentation/ Emergency Preparedness Fair This Saturday, March 3
DUARTE, CA, February 25, 2018 – Duarte has had its share of emergencies in the last two years between mudflows and hillside fires affecting our neighborhoods. With the need for emergency preparedness at the forefront, Duarte Mayor John Fasana will present his assessment as well as his vision for our community at the annual State of the City on Saturday, March 3 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the Duarte Performing Arts Center at 1401 Highland Avenue. Entitled “Preparedness: The New Normal,” the event will begin with an informative Emergency Preparedness Fair featuring a free box lunch for all attendees followed by the Mayor’s presentation at 1:30 pm examining the past year’s obstacles and accomplishments with an emphasis on preparing for what lies ahead.
The event’s premiere sponsor is California American Water Company in conjunction with other co-sponsors including the American Red Cross, Edison, Wonder Dog Ranch, County of Los Angeles Fire and Sheriff’s Departments, and Duarte’s newly formed Community Emergency Response Team.
