Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a male adult, and the wounding of a 41-year-old male and a 25-year-old female.
The 41-year-old male was working as a security guard at a bar in the 13900 block of Imperial Highway, La Mirada when he was involved in a dispute with several patrons. The argument continued into the parking lot where it appears several people started shooting at each other with handguns.
The male adult drove away from the scene but ended up colliding with the center median in the 13600 block of Imperial Highway, disabling his car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The security guard was driven to a local hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds. He is expected to survive his injuries.
The woman suffered several gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where she is being treated for her wounds. She is expected to survive her injuries.
Detectives are in the process of trying to determine what the dispute was about and who was responsible for the shooting.
A firearm was recovered in the deceased male’s vehicle.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the shooting death of a man, and wounding of two others. The incident occurred on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at approximately 12:54 a.m., on the 13200 block of Imperial Highway, Unincorporated Whittier.
A male adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female adult and male adult were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
