Nature of Incident: Graffiti at Westlake High School prompts law enforcement response Location: 100 North Lakeview Canyon Road, Thousand Oaks 91362 Date & Time: 02/23/2018 @ 7:30 AM Unit Responsible: Thousand Oaks Police Department Narrative: On February 21, 2018, graffiti was discovered in a restroom which prompted officials at Westlake High School to contact the Thousand Oaks Police Department to investigate possible threats. A thorough investigation was conducted by detectives which determined that the threat was not credible. Out of an abundance of caution, given the current national climate, the police department deployed additional uniformed personnel at Westlake High School. We continue to work closely with school officials to ensure any perceived threat against a school is investigated thoroughly. As always, we encourage members of the community to contact law enforcement any time they observe suspicious activity.
