Verizon Phone Outage - Municipal Complex phone service out.
911 PHONE CALLS STILL WORKING
Verizon informs us that there is an outage which is impacting phone service at the Municipal Complex. This is affecting both incoming and outgoing calls. Buildings involved include the Municipal Building, Utilities Building, Senior Center, Library, and possibly surrounding homes and businesses. The problem began late yesterday and AT&T and Verizon have been working throughout the evening to restore service, and continue to work on the problem.
Our 9-1-1 service has NOT been affected and is fully operational. The main police department non-emergency phone number (732) 329-4646 is also still working.
All municipal buildings remain open. We have been advised that the estimated time or restoration is 7:45pm this evening.
