Details: On February 18, 2018, at 12:17 am, Corcoran Police Officers responded to the Budget Inn Motel located at 1224 Whitley Avenue, Corcoran, for a report of an assault. The victim, a 31 year old San Pablo resident, reported he was in a motel room with two Corcoran females he believed to be adults. The group were consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana when three subjects entered the room and began beating the victim. The victim managed to escape the room and call police but not before the subjects took several items and the victim’s vehicle from the location. An investigation led officers to a residence located in the 900 block of Josephine Avenue, where a search warrant was served and several items taken during the robbery were located. Leonard Gonzalez, 19, of Corcoran was taken into custody. Officers later located the victim’s vehicle in the 500 block of Claire Avenue. On the following evening another suspect being sought in the robbery, showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound and was subsequently taken into custody. Officers are investigating leads that a separate incident may have happened in the 1900 block of Azalea Avenue in Corcoran, where the second subject was shot. It was later determined that the females involved in this case were minors. A complaint seeking charges against the victim for contributing to the delinquency of minors will be sent to the District Attorney.
