Police are currently investigating what appears to be a homicide in the 1200 blk of Empire Street. Detectives from the Investigations Bureau are currently on scene along with Crime Scene Investigators. A portion of Empire Street near Pennsylvania Avenue is closed while the scene is being investigated. There are no further details currently available, an update is expected in the next few hours.
Anyone that observed anything suspicious in the area of Empire Street and Pennsyvania Avenue is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department.
