The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for... Rockwall County in north central Texas... Hunt County in north central Texas... Fannin County in north central Texas...

* Until 400 AM CST.

* At 1245 AM CST, Doppler radar and rain gauges indicated showers and thunderstorms continuing to produce moderate rainfall across Fannin, Hunt, and Rockwall Counties. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen in this area with another one to two inches possible through 4 AM. Areas that are low lying or usually experience poor drainage are most likely to experience flooding. A few road closures have also previously been reported, including Highway 69 north of Greenville as well as a couple of county roads near Commerce.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ROCKWALL

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
