High Visibility Enforcement

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, an HVE operation will be conducted CITYWIDE.  The Torrance Police Department will partner with other local agencies to solely focus on “hotspots” and areas of concern within the city limits.  Participating agencies include:  Gardena Police Department, Redondo Beach Police Department, Manhattan Beach Police Department, El Segundo Police Department and Hawthorne Police Department.

In an effort to continue to partner with our community and address traffic concerns, this highly visible multi-jurisdictional task force will utilize Traffic Sign Boards to remind drivers to obey all traffic laws. Motor officers will also be present to devote the majority of their time educating the community.  DRIVE AS IF LIVES DEPEND ON IT!

The Torrance Police Department is grateful for the assistance and support from our community. The Torrance Police Department is committed to enhancing safe driving through education, visibility and enforcement in an effort to decrease traffic collisions and save lives.
