Detectives Track Down the 14-yr-old LA Resident That Made School Related Threats Via Live Chat - He was Arrested and Released to Parent 
On Sunday February 18th 2018, officers were given information that an unknown male subject had made a statement in reference to shooting up a school worse than Florida.
This statement was made in a group chat setting via Instagram live.
On Monday February 19, 2018, the Presidents Day holiday, Ontario detectives tracked down the juvenile in Los Angeles where he lives with his family. He was contacted at a laundromat where he was with his mother. During the interview, he admitted to making the comment. The 14-year-old juvenile was arrested for making the threat.
The juvenile attends school in Los Angeles. The only connection to Ontario was the reporting party, who was involved in the chat and reported the comment to police.
The juvenile has no access to weapons nor was there any additional specific Information related to the comment. He was released on a citation to his parent.
