Three People Arrested in SLA Inspection

Suffolk County Police arrested three people after conducting State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspections on February 17 in Copiague. 
 
First Precinct Crime Section in conjunction with First Precinct Community Support Unit, First Precinct Patrol Officers, Town of Babylon Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety, Town of Babylon Fire Marshall, Town of Babylon Building Inspector, and the Town of Babylon Code Enforcement, conducted an SLA Inspection at Los Tres Amigos Deli & Grocery, located at 1715 Great Neck Rd., Copiague, at 10:15 p.m. on February 17, 2018. The findings were as follows: 
 
First Precinct Crime Section officers, First Precinct Community Support Unit and First Precinct Patrol Officers arrested two males and one female during the SLA Inspection:

  • Pedro A. Galvan 67, of Freeport (Owner of Deli)
  • Denis Membreno  31, of Copiague (Patron at Deli)
  • Ruth Hernandez Ramirez 28, of Massapequa (Patron at Deli) 
 
Pedro A. Galvan was charged with 11 counts of ABC Law 54.B Off Premise Beer/Allowing Consumption of Beer on Premise; 2 Counts of ABC Law 105.22 Disorderly Premise,  an Unclassified Misdemeanor;  NYS Penal Law 225.05  Promoting Gambling, a Class A Misdemeanor; and NYS Penal Law 225.30 Possession of Gambling Devices, a Class A Misdemeanor. 
Denis Membreno was charged with two outstanding warrants and NYS Penal Law 190.23 False Personation, a Class B Misdemeanor.
 
Ruth Hernandez Ramirez was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. 
 
The Town Of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force issued 17 combined Building, Fire and Code Violations to the owner.  As a result of the violations, the establishment was closed. 
Arraignment is pending for all defendants.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
