Homicide detectives are continuing to assist South Gate Police Department with their investigation into the shooting death of a male adult. 

At 3:00 A.M. on Thursday February 15, 2018, South Gate Police Officers responded to a business located in the 13100 block of Paramount Boulevard in the city of South Gate regarding a shots fired/possible robbery call for service. Upon arriving, officers made entry into the business where they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim, a male Hispanic adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the time of the incident, the business was closed. It is unknown at this time if the victim was an employee or patron of the business.

The suspect is described as a male adult wearing dark clothing. 

The murder weapon was not recovered at the scene and remains outstanding. 

The incident does not appear to be gang related.

This investigation is on-going and there is no additional information at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 13100 block of Paramount Boulevard, South Gate, to assist South Gate Police Department investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
