VEHICLE THEFT ARRESTS
On Tuesday, Feb. 6th, around 1:40 p.m., Ofc. Leete was conducting a security check in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway when he located a vehicle reported stolen out of San Jose. The driver of the vehicle, 62-year-old Edward Santos out of Fremont, was arrested for vehicle theft and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Friday, Feb. 9th, around 4 p.m., Ofc. Cushman was patrolling Union Landing when he located a stolen vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot when officers tried to contact him, running across all lanes of I-880. He was ultimately located in Hayward and taken into custody. Jerry Mathews, a 36-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested for vehicle theft, resisting arrest, and an outstanding felony warrant. GRAND THEFTS
On Saturday, Feb. 10th, around 5 p.m., a suspect stole the victim’s laptop in the 1700 block of Decoto Rd.
On Sunday, Feb. 11th, around 5:30 p.m., a suspect stole more than $2,500 worth of cosmetics from a business in the 31800 block of Alvarado Blvd.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
On Saturday, Feb. 10th, around 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Union Landing restaurant on the report of customers throwing items at an employee. A customer apparently became irate when the manager told her she could not remove alcohol from the building, and threw a heavy margarita glass at him, hitting him in the head. The suspect and her family fled in their vehicle, which was located nearby. Robin Stevenson-Barret, a 26-year-old Oakland resident, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
PROACTIVE ENFORCEMENT
On Friday, Feb. 9th, around 9:30 p.m., Ofc. Noyd conducted a vehicle stop near the Hayward/Union City border. Probation searches of the vehicle and its occupants yielded counterfeit bills, drugs and drug paraphernalia, and multiple credit cards belonging to other people. John Ruybal, a 42-year-old Antioch resident, was arrested for counterfeit bills, the misappropriation of found property, and drug-related offenses. Jaylene Meola, a 26-year-old Hayward resident, and Garry Lawrence, a 29-year-old Oakland resident, were arrested for the misappropriation of found property and drug-related offenses.
BURGLARIES AND CAR THEFTS
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 5th through Sunday, Feb. 11th, there were three reported residential burglaries:
- 32000 block of Alvarado Niles Rd.: Occurred between Tuesday, Feb. 6th at 11 p.m., and Wednesday, Feb. 7th at 12:30 a.m. The method of entry is unknown, and the loss included a wallet.
- 32300 block of Annette Ct.: Occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 7th, between 9:10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A rear window was pried open, and the loss included passports, jewelry and a vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in another jurisdiction.
- 630 block of Tamarack Dr.: Occurred sometime between Monday, Jan. 29th and Thursday, Feb. 8th. The method of entry is unknown, and the loss included a shotgun.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 5th through Sunday, Feb. 11th, there were no reported commercial burglaries.
AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS
From Monday, Feb. 5th through Sunday, Feb. 11th, there were seven reported auto burglaries. Three of them occurred at the Union Landing shopping center.

From Monday, Feb. 5th through Sunday, Feb. 11th, there were six reported vehicle thefts. As of the time of this report, four of the vehicles have been recovered.
