INCIDENT: Recovery of Stolen Property

LOCATION: 20000 Block of Ituma

SUSPECT(S): Akili Zwizi 24-year-old resident of Apple Valley
Brandon Brisco 25-year-old resident of Apple Valley

VICTIM(S): Multiple anonymous victims

SUMMARY: Apple Valley Deputies Stephan Esparza and Robert Smith received a call from the victim of a burglary in the La Canada area of Los Angeles County. The caller was able to track some of her electronic property to the Apple Valley area and requested assistance. Esparza and Smith tracked the property to a home in the 20000 block on Ituma Road in Apple Valley. The deputies contacted Akili Rwizi and Brandon Brisco. Deputies were able to recover stolen property related to the La Canada burglary. Items recovered included approximately $20,000.00 worth of jewelry, a shot gun and two handguns, ammunition, expensive purses, a mask and money.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station and identified the property on behalf of the victim. Rwizi and Brisco were charged with Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property. Rwizi was also booked on a Probation Violation because he is currently on Post Release Community Supervision.
