Update: Washington Elementary School students are being allowed back into the school. Janesville Fire Department and Alliant Energy are still on scene investigating. There are no safety concerns at this time.
Original Message: The Janesville Fire Department is currently investigating a report of a natural gas odor at Washington Elementary School, 811 N. Pine St. The building has been evacuated. Alliant Energy and the Janesville Police Department are on scene to assist.
