The Township of Denville will be repaving the section of West Main Street affected by last week's water main break beginning at 5:30 am tomorrow morning.

As a result, access to eastbound West Main Street will be closed to all traffic accessing West Main Street from Route 46. Vehicles attempting to access the center of town from Route 46 eastbound, should exit Route 46 at the Bloomfield Avenue exit. Vehicles attempting to access the center of town from Route 46 westbound will be detoured to the Route 53 northbound exit and then north on East Main Street.

Westbound traffic on West Main street attempting to access Route 46 from the center of town will be detoured around the road work using Righter Avenue.

In addition, to allow for the safe and expeditious movement of traffic along the West Main Street-Righter Avenue detour, Hinchman Avenue will be closed at Hewetson Road for all southbound traffic that would normally access West Main Street. This traffic will be detoured up Hewetson Road to Myers Avenue and then to Route 46 westbound.

As soon as the paving work is complete, West Main Street will be opened to all traffic and the detours will be lifted. If you are traveling through this area, especially during the morning rush hour, please expect some delays.
