On February 12, 2018, at about 5:00 pm, the Thousand Oaks Police Department and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to an injury traffic collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Thousand Oaks Blvd and Marmon Avenue. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The male motorcyclist was traveling west on Thousand Oaks Blvd. when he collided with a sport utility vehicle traveling north, across the intersection attempting to enter the shopping center located in the 3600 block of east Thousand Oaks Blvd. The driver of the sport utility vehicle suffered minor injuries. The identity of the motorcyclist is pending notification of next of kin by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The collision is still under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Traffic Bureau. Anyone who might have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Thousand Oaks Police Department at (805) 494-8246.
