DUARTE WEEKLY CRIME BLOTTER February 04 - February 10, 2018

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of Feb 04– Feb 10, 2018
 
February 04, 2018

  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported at 1431 Buena Vista Street (Old Spaghetti Factory).  The driver’s-side rear window was shattered and a diaper bag was stolen.
 
February 05, 2018
  • No significant Activity.
 
February 06, 2018
  • A Residential Burglary was reported on the 2300 block of High Mesa Drive.  The victim’s sliding glass door was shattered and the bedroom dresser was ransacked.  Jewelry, and a lap-top computer were stolen.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1565 Central Avenue (Duarte High School).  A student’s I-Phone was stolen from a locker in the Boys’ Locker Room. 
 
February 7, 2018
  • A Petty Theft was reported on the 1300 block of Mountain Avenue.  The victim’s wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
 
February 08, 2018
  • A Petty Theft was reported on the 800 block of Las Lomas Road.  Two male suspects stole a fanny pack and an I-Pod from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
 
February 09, 2018
  • An Attempted Car-jacking was reported at 1106 Huntington Drive (Enterprise Rent-A-Car).  An adult male entered the driver’s seat of a parked, occupied vehicle, and attempted to start the ignition.  The front passenger tried to stop him, and a struggle ensued.  The driver of the car pulled the suspect out of the driver’s seat, and told him to leave.  The suspect fled east-bound on Huntington Drive and out of view.
  • An Assault was reported on the 1900 block of Broadland Avenue.  An adult male attempted to hit another adult male with a glass beer bottle.  The victim detained the suspect until Deputies arrived and placed the suspect under arrest.
  • A Residential Burglary was reported on the 3300 block of Fish Canyon Road.  The glass dining room door was shattered and the house was ransacked. No loss was reported at the time of the report.
  • A Residential Burglary was reported on the 3200 block of Royal Oaks Drive.  A side window was shattered and the house was ransacked.  U.S. currency and small gold bars were stolen.
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported on the 3200 block of Shady Lawn Drive.  The driver’s-side rear window was shattered and clothing was stolen.
 
 
 
February 10, 2018
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart).  Two male suspects stole a computer router from the store display.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target). A female suspect concealed merchandise in a bag and exited the store without paying.  She was stopped by store Security Officers and the stolen items were recovered.
  • A Petty Theft was reported on the 1300 block of Huntington Drive.  A male suspect stole a bag of toiletries.
