Suffolk County Police today arrested a Brentwood couple for violating Suffolk County code for leaving their two pit bulls chained up outside overnight.

Third Squad detectives charged Argelys Paulino, 34, and his wife, Elma Paulino, 37, who live at the Hancock Street home, with violating Chapter 299 of the Suffolk County Code pertaining to the Outdoor Restraint of Pets. Both will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 16.
The investigation is continuing pending further veterinarian evaluation of both dogs.
