On February 12, 2018 at 9:07 AM, Novato Police Department responded to an apartment in the 1500 block of Hill Road for a welfare check. Our officers learned that the occupant of the apartment had not responded to calls from family members since Saturday. Officers initially did not receive a response at the door and made entry to the apartment to check the welfare of the occupants. Once inside, the officers located a female and a male deceased inside the apartment. Our detective unit responded to the scene to assume the investigation into the manner and cause of the deaths. We have determined that there is no threat to the community at this time.  We will be releasing more information as the investigation allows.
