IMPD Chief Bryan Roach attends Crime Fighters Leadership Conference hosted by LAPD

INDIANAPOLIS – Last week, IMPD Chief Bryan Roach and Deputy Chief Chris Bailey joined senior police and federal law enforcement officials from across the country in Los Angeles for the annual Crime Fighters Leadership Conference. Each year, the conference highlights innovative crime fighting strategies and community-based initiatives to improve public safety.
“As we work to shape a safer Indianapolis, IMPD is committed to learning from national best practices in crime prevention and community policing,” said Chief Bryan Roach. “Because of our involvement in the National Public Safety Partnership and the lessons learned from the annual Crime Fighters Leadership Conference, we return to Indianapolis having strengthened relationships with national leaders, and armed with new ideas that will help keep Indianapolis neighborhoods safe.”
The two-day gathering featured training sessions on data analysis and national policing best practices, panel discussions on crime reduction strategies, remarks from notable figures in public safety, and site visits to LAPD assets and operations centers. The conference is part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Violence Reduction Network technical assistance program.
