...Patchy Dense Fog Along the Coastline and Mississippi River... .Patchy areas of dense fog have begun to develop over the tidal lakes, sounds, and some of the inner waters. The east-southeast winds are helping to push the fog across the lake over the Causeway and along I-55 but also expect to see patchy fog right along the coast in the next few hours. Dense fog is not expected at this time once you get a few miles away from the coast and the dense fog will likely become lighter as more rain develops. In addition there is likely dense fog right along the Mississippi River along and south of New Orleans. ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CST SATURDAY... The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 4 AM CST Saturday.

* VISIBILITY...less than a quarter of a mile.

* DURATION...for 3 to 7 hours.
