...Gusty Offshore Winds over the North Bay Mountains Saturday... .Increasing offshore winds over the North Bay mountains are expected on Saturday, primarily from late morning into the early part of Saturday night. These winds will be strongest over the tallest ridges and peaks of the northern portions of Sonoma and Napa county, with peak sustained winds of up to 35 mph and gusts of up to 55 mph. The strongest winds are anticipated during the late afternoon and evening out of the north to northeast. In addition, relative humidity values will drop into the low teens and single digits later Saturday and Saturday night, leading to a slightly increased fire risk over the impacted areas. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SATURDAY TO MIDNIGHT PST SATURDAY NIGHT... The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM Saturday to midnight PST Saturday night.
* TIMING....Late Saturday morning through early Saturday night. Winds will peak during late Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. Winds decrease into Sunday.
* WINDS... Peak sustained winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to around 55 mph. Winds strongest at highest elevations.
* IMPACTS... Blowing debris, more difficult driving for high profile vehicles, downed power lines, and increased fire danger, especially in conjunction with very low relative humidity values.
