Today at 1:50 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in the parking lot of Sentry, 2822 E. Milwaukee St. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who reported being robbed as he was walking towards his vehicle with his wife. The victim was approached by a male suspect who demanded his money. When the victim refused he was assaulted, and his wallet was taken.

The suspect then ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the scene. The victim followed the suspect and contacted the police. The suspect fled on foot, and our department began tracking with K9 Fred.

Officers later located the suspect standing out front of Jefferson Elementary School. He was unarmed, and was arrested without incident. He is currently at the Rock County Jail awaiting court proceedings.

Arrested: Wilson, Devonti M. , 33 years old, Janesville.
Charge: Robbery.
