A mother is arrested after doctors find her 2-year-old daughter severely malnourished

SUSPECT: Chelsea Price, age 25 a resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On October 31, 2017, Chelsea Price took her 2-year-old daughter to the pediatrician for a medical appointment. The victim was found to be emaciated and severely malnourished. Subsequently, the victim was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) for extensive treatment and hospitalization. Forensic Pediatricians from Loma Linda University Medical Center examined the victim and concluded her medical condition is a result of severe neglect and malnourishment.
Following an extensive investigation and collaboration with Forensic Pediatricians from LLUMC, Price was arrested on February 8, 2018. She was booked into the Adelanto Detention Center for PC 273a(a); Willful Cruelty to a Child and bail was set for $100,000.
